Bill Gates discusses the issue of current printed, designed by committee textbooks vs future online or electronic textbooks that can teach a student at their own pace and provide immediate feedback in the areas they might be struggling with. It will definitely be interesting to watch this space as tools like the iPad move more and more into educational settings. The sheer interactivity of electronic versions of texts has some amazing potential.
